In the Simplest Terms, in the Most Convenient Definitions

I wanna know who made the JC Penney/Breakfast Club ad. Was it the Baby Boomers or was it our generation? If it was the Boomers, then is this the first sign of them relinquishing their influence over the world (or at least acknowledging our sway on Madison Avenue)? And if it was our generation, is it the logical next step in our succession of power that once seemed so long in coming?
